My People Are Against Me Because I want to Marry a Yoruba Man

Dear Love Doctor,

What are your thoughts about prejudice when it comes to certain states not marry from?

I sincerely want to know what is wrong with marrying a Yoruba man.

I’m from Jos, and I’m pregnant already, we just did my introduction to get married by next month and

Unfortunately, I’m getting this “back off” energy.

I’m not even exaggerating.

Nobody is genuinely excited for me. Some will shout and make me feel like I’m about to die if I end up marrying him. But I don’t have any reason to doubt him.

He honestly explained his past life to me and everything.

He has a son and had been married once but the way everyone is reacting to our union since he made is intentions known makes me feel like there’s more to it.

The thing is that, all my teenage years was spent on daydreaming about marrying a Yoruba man.
